Cheers and chatter filled the shuttle as the team boarded one by one, finally all together after over a year. The cheers grew louder once Jhaunae Cephas, the last on board, realizes that she’s just been promoted to account manager via a decorated front-row seat. It was a stellar way to kick off our first in-person event since early 2020.

ARPR retreats, which happen in both the summer and winter, serve as internal mini-conferences for the Army of Awesome. The goals and objectives are always the same – bond, network, reflect, plan and learn…so we can continue to PRopel What’s Possible for our clients, our industry and our top tech PR agency. While there was continuity from years past in our 2021 Mid-Year Retreat programming, it was clear that bonding took precedence over anything else as we excitedly hopped off that shuttle and into the Lodge at Lake Lanier, just north of Atlanta. The itinerary included a pontoon boat scavenger hunt, a guest speaker and so much more. Take a look at our senior leaderships’ perspective on this year’s mid-year retreat and get a behind-the-scenes look at the fun below.

Some may think that putting the focus on culture over productivity, especially when employees are pushing back against going back into the office, is a waste of time and resources. However, research shows that culture-first companies are seeing higher returns post-pandemic – 4X higher in one recent study.

And for an Atlanta-based company named the best place to work 7Xs and counting, the investment is a no-brainer. Collaboration is at the heart of our Panorama Approach. To effectively execute on data-driven, integrated comms as a tech PR firm, your team not only has to be diverse in skillset, but they have to communicate effectively and be extremely agile. These soft skill sets are extremely difficult to train or coach and can best be developed through culture-based programs that promote bonding and ongoing professional development – two core focuses of the aforementioned retreats.

…oh yeah, and they are a helluva lot of fun, too. 😉
