In 2020, a global provider of next-gen power solutions for mission critical environments, partnered with ARPR to develop a coordinated communications campaign that would help the company assert itself as an industry leader within the 5G/wireless market. The problem? The 130-year old global brand had an uphill climb to prove it’s expertise after startups and more modern telecom brands had led the 5G conversation for several years prior.
By leveraging the company’s 5G & wireless expertise alongside the company’s first-ever 5G data report, the objective of the campaign was to penetrate top-tier publications with data-backed thought leadership - placing the brand and its solutions in the center of conversations on 5G deployment roadblocks and how business leaders are navigating the transition.
With 5G’s promise to provide high bandwidth, ultra-low latency, as well as high levels of security and reliability, business leaders and journalists alike, understand its capacity to transform our everyday lives. To help our client break into the noisy space, ARPR developed a three-pronged plan that leveraged earned media, owned media and executive visibility strategies.
To get started, first ARPR drafted a series of contributed articles and secured timely interviews on behalf of the client’s primary SME discussing the latest 5G deployments. ARPR then collaborated with an international market research firm to distribute a global survey and curate a data report highlighting the true implications of 5G beyond consumer smartphones, as well as the top concerns surrounding deployment. By leveraging the primary SME’s extensive thought leadership catalog across traditional and social media platforms alongside the 5G data report, we were able to position him as an authoritative resource on the arrival of 5G while clearly pointing to power as the ultimate enabler of the fifth generation.
