Atlanta born but raised in her hometown of Warner Robins, Georgia, Candace is an up-and-coming public relations superstar with a zeal for all things that combine creativity and communications. Growing up in the age of reality TV, Kelly Cutrone’s hit Bravo TV show, ‘Kell on Earth,’ ignited her passion for public relations at an early age. Aside from learning to always find out where the label maker is before you destroy thousands of dollars’ worth of gift bags (a scene that to this day gives Teresa Giudice’s table flip a run for its money), she gained an exciting glimpse into the ins and outs of the fast-paced world of the industry and all that comes with it – the storytelling, the strategy, and the ability to PRopel change within systems and communities, which positively affect the lives of everyday people.
Since graduating from Georgia State University in 2017, her career has allowed her to embrace new opportunities, including the curation of content that showcased the importance of genetic counseling in healthcare, and its reinvention of the way patients navigate their inherited conditions. Candace has also utilized her PR prowess to develop communications strategies to raise awareness internationally for the non-profit organization Escuela de Educación Básica San José de Calasanz in Cuenca, Ecuador in order to secure funding for their education and vocational programs.
In her free time, you can find our resident fashionista networking at local industry mixers, enjoying Jennie’s ice cream in midtown and writing for her blog Candy & Lane at a few of the city’s many eclectic coffee shops.
