Pronouns: she, her, hers
Growing up, Colleen couldn’t get her hands on enough Nancy Drew books. She admired the detective’s quick wit and daring determination — and of course, her blue convertible. While still working on getting that dream car, Colleen did capture the heroine’s drive and curiosity.
After graduating with a B.S. in journalism from Georgia Southern University, Colleen launched her media career writing about people, places and plates for publications like WhereTraveler, Points North Atlanta, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Savannah magazine. Highlights included meeting Dolly Parton during a Dollywood press tour, fishing off the coast of Florida with a Top Chef, covering the Carribean Food & Wine Festival and road-tripping through the Mississippi Delta — just to name a few.
Still, Colleen was eager to learn more about navigating the shifting media landscape and the world around her. She made the switch to agency life in 2018 with an emphasis on supporting clients in various aspects of commercial real estate, including leading mixed-use developments and Atlanta’s top architecture firm. During the pandemic, she kept the foot on the gas with dozens of thought leadership opportunities while expanding coverage of the client’s D.C. and New York offices. Along the way, she fostered strong relationships with key media in the communities her clients cared about — whether the Atlanta Business Chronicle or Forsyth County News — as well as helped land hits in national publications like Forbes and The Washington Post. She also grew a client’s LinkedIn following by 700% in less than two years.
As a passionately curious member of the Army of Awesome, Colleen works within the agency’s Cloud and healthIT practice groups, where she helps her tech clients’ demystify PR.
When she’s not keeping up with the latest headlines or brainstorming creative pitch angles, she’s usually hanging out with her husband and their cat, Ra, at home in East Atlanta — but still stays on the hunt for new restaurants and other adventures. She enjoys practicing yoga, spending time with family (proud aunt!), walking on the BeltLine, watching rom coms (big Judd Apatow fan), trying new recipes, adding to their vinyl record collection and trying to keep up with her Book of the Month subscription — including the occasional mystery novel.
