Pronouns: she, her, hers
Jhaunae Cephas was raised in a Caribbean home in Stone Mountain, GA constantly filled with music, fun and a very faint smell of jerk chicken. The rhythm of her culture spurred a passion for people and a good beat. This is what inspired her to double major in Dance and Political Science at Emory University.
Jhaunae first discovered the power of relationship-building while serving as a communications intern for Georgia’s 2018 gubernatorial election. While there, she developed a hunger for the quick tempo of the PR industry, and a passionate curiosity for the commitment communications teams had to always being one strategic step ahead of everyone else. For Jhaunae, it was as satisfying as learning a difficult dance routine and flawlessly executing the movements for everyone to see.
After receiving her bachelor’s degree, Jhaunae chasséd into ARPR and joined the Army of Awesome as an Edgie intern where she learned how to gracefully develop integrated campaigns in order to Propel what’s possible. Now, she’s using her dynamic social media and media relations capabilities to help our cyber and cloud practice groups take their clients to gravity-defying heights, securing media placements in targeted trade publications, such as ForConstructionPros.com and Pest Management Professional as well as increasing social impressions for her niche cloud clients by over 2000%.
In her free time, you can find Jhaunae practicing Iyengar yoga, exploring Atlanta’s urban arts scene or practicing portrait photography at Atlanta’s most scenic locations. Follow Jhaunae on LinkedIn or Twitter to keep up with this Gen Zer moving through the PR world.
