Melissa’s been a lover of the written word since she was old enough to hold a pen. Originally from Vermont, she grew up reading Robert Frost and spent many summer days writing short stories and articles for the local paper. Many years and words later she joined ARPR to lead the agency’s healthIT practice group, telling stories of how our clients’ innovative tech solutions save lives. This knack for storytelling coupled with her strategic consultation on our Panorama approach is what led to the practice growing 20% YoY.

Today, as senior vice president, Melissa oversees client service and strategy across the agency – spearheading initiatives that drive success and providing quantifiable results to our clients through our unique Panorama Approach to PR. To this day, her passion lies in developing creative stories and strategies for brands. Her most recent integrated comms “bestsellers” resulted in a 662% inbound link increase and over 60 media hits in top-tier publications such as The Wall Street Journal and Fortune for a company launching a new pharmacy benefits category, and over 85 media hits and a 78% increase in web visitors for a cybersecurity company making its North American debut.

Many of her programs have earned industry recognition including the PR News Platinum Awards, Hermes Creative, PR Ragan Daily and PR News Social Media Awards.

A recipient of the PRSA-NY Top 15 under 35 in 2017, Melissa previously sat on the board of the NY/NJ Region of the HBA and the NY chapter of the IABC.

As any good storyteller would, Melissa loves to curl up with a good book and reads fiction voraciously. She’s also an avid cook, nature lover and puzzle addict. But the biggest loves of her life are her husband and two young kids.
