Once upon a time, there was a young girl named Michelle who had a love for storytelling. She would spend her days writing in her journal and dreaming of faraway places. So, it was no surprise when she decided to find a career heavily focused on writing. After huffing and puffing and trying to blow the house down with journalism and sports marketing majors, she stumbled upon public relations and quickly realized it was the perfect fit. It satisfied her love writing and storytelling and allowed her to express her creative side, too.
After graduating from Georgia State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism, Michelle interned for an Atlanta-based public relations and marketing agency, where she honed her storytelling skills and developed a knack for pitching. It was there where she also developed a passion for servicing clients in the healthcare industry. Michelle carried her passion into the next chapter of her story, by joining ARPR’s HealthIT practice group as an Edge intern.
Now, as a junior account coordinator, Michelle is bringing even more of an edge to the Army of Awesome. She uses her strong media relations skills to score hits in targeted trade publications, such as Medical Economics and HIT Consultant.
Outside of work, Michelle enjoys hanging out with her pup Rosie, traveling and enjoying a nice glass of wine. On most weekends you can find Michelle exploring local Atlanta hotspots, or just relaxing on the couch with Rosie curled up next to her.
And as the story always goes, she lived happily ever after.
