Once upon a time, there was a young girl named Michelle who had a love for storytelling. She would spend her days writing in her journal and dreaming of faraway places. So, it was no surprise when she decided to find a career heavily focused on writing. After huffing and puffing and trying to blow the house down with journalism and sports marketing majors, she stumbled upon public relations and quickly realized it was the perfect fit. It satisfied her love of writing and storytelling and allowed her to express her creative side, too.
After graduating from Georgia State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism, Michelle interned for an Atlanta-based public relations and marketing agency, where she honed her storytelling skills and developed a knack for pitching. It was there where she also developed a passion for servicing clients in the healthcare industry. Michelle carried her passion into the next chapter of her story, by joining ARPR’s HealthIT practice group as an Edge intern. From there it was happily ever after.
Now, as an edgie turned account manager, Michelle uses her savvy edge to lead campaigns for clients and deliver strong results, quality KPIs and metrics. During her tenure, she has used her strong media relations skills to develop resonating thought leadership and blog content – scoring numerous wins in targeted tier-1 trade publications, such as Fierce Healthcare, MedCity News, and Healthcare Innovation.
Outside of work, Michelle enjoys exploring the outdoors (or trendy brewery) with her rescue pups Ash and Rosie, traveling and sitting back and relaxing with a nice glass of wine.
