“Let’s talk,” was one of Dawn’s favorite sayings as a kid. She loved engaging in conversation with family, friends and anyone else who was willing to chat it up with a five-year-old. It was this gift for gab that inspired her love for communication and the art of connecting with people through conversation. Committed to turning her passion into a profession.
Now, with more than five years of experience in public relations, Dawn has worked with clients across a variety of industries; however, much like her love for talking, she has always known that healthcare was her true passion. Whether it’s a new product approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or breaking down the differences between Ebola and the Flu virus, Dawn has an understanding – and fasciation – for turning complex topics into messages that resonate with multiple audiences. Well versed in trade and mainstream media, Dawn has collaborated with top-tier publications such as Medscape, HuffPost, HLN and more. She also knows a thing or two about managing relationships with key opinion leaders (there’s so much to learn from patients, physicians and patient advocates!), as well as national professional health associations like the American Medical Association (AMA) and the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP).
Armed with her signature can-do attitude and a passion for client service, Dawn’s day-to-day entails keeping teams on track, building strategic partnerships, and creating compelling multi-channel content.
Outside of the office, you can find Dawn spending time with her dog, Daisy, or on the phone with anyone (she’s old-school like that) – family, friends or media – who will pick up for a quick chat. She is always ready for a discussion about “Lord of the Rings,” or participating in a 5K with her run club. She also adds hot sauce to pretty much every meal because life needs a daily dose of spice!
